  8. Note:     The term "vendor" is used to refer to any person, company or group
  9.           distributing the evaluation version of My Little Realm's Records of
  10.           the Realm program by any means for profit or for any other purpose.
  11.  
  12.           The distribution license agreements are immediately below.  
  13.  
  14.           All vendors should refer to "Contents For Vendors" below (about line
  15.           45) for ZIP file contents and what the distribution disk should
  16.           contain after expanding the ZIP file.
  17.  
  18.           The .ZIP file ID is MLRROR30.ZIP.  Previous releases:  MLRROR20.ZIP 
  19.           MLRROR25.ZIP, and MLRROR26.ZIP.
  20.  
  21.           You'll find my name, address and phone number, along with 
  22.           descriptions of Records of the Realm, at the end of this document.
  23.  
  24.           The registration price is $20 (USA).  The benefits are listed at
  25.           the end of this document near the descriptions.  Possible product 
  26.           categories would be General Household, Home and Hobby, and Personal
  27.           Organizers.

  39. As the exclusive copyright holder for My Little Realm's Records of the Realm 
  40. program, John L. Salisbury (also called the author) authorizes distribution 
  41. only in accordance with the following restrictions:

  47.   o  Disk vendors, please expand MLRROR30.ZIP to get the following files.

  63.   o  BBS Sysops, please ensure that MLRROR30.ZIP contains the above files.

  67.   o  ASP Vendors in good standing are hereby granted permission to distribute 
  68.      the Records of the Realm package.
  69.      
  70.   o  Non-ASP member vendors should check the time stamp of this package.  If
  71.      it is more than a year old, please request an update/upgrade from the
  72.      author.

  74.   o  The Records of the Realm package - including all related program files 
  75.      and documentation files - cannot be modified in any way and must be 
  76.      distributed as a complete package, without exception.  
  77.  
  78.   o  No disk vendor may place other authors' works on the Records of the 
  79.      Realm disk.  Small additions to the package, such as the introductory or
  80.      installation batch files used by many shareware disk vendors, are 
  81.      acceptable.

  83.   o  No price or other compensation may be charged by any vendor for the 
  84.      Records of the Realm software package.  Vendors may charge their usual 
  85.      fees for the materials and services they provide.

  88. Disk Sets & CD-ROMs:
  89. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  90. The Records of the Realm package cannot be sold as part of some other 
  91. inclusive package.  Nor can it be included in any commercial software 
  92. packaging offer without a written agreement from John L.Salisbury.
  93.  
  94. ASP Approved Vendors who wish to distribute the Records of the Realm package 
  95. as part of a collection (such as PsL's MegaDisk set, or a CD-ROM package) may
  96. do so provided that all the other restrictions are met.
  97.  
  98. Non-ASP Member Vendors who wish to distribute the Records of the Realm 
  99. package as part of a collection (such as PsL's MegaDisk set, or a CD-ROM 
  100. package) must obtain permission from the author prior to beginning such a 
  101. distribution.

  103. Disk-of-the-Month (or Subscription) Distribution:
  104. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  105. If you would like to distribute the Records of the Realm package as a 
  106. Disk-of-the-Month, or as part of a subscription or monthly service, then 
  107. the following restrictions apply:

  109.   o  ASP Associate (Disk Vendor) Members in good standing are hereby 
  110.      given permission to distribute the Records of the Realm package 
  111.      under the Disk-of-the-Month style of distribution.
  112.  
  113.   o  Non-ASP Vendors must contact the author in advance to ensure that 
  114.      they have the most current version of the software.
  115.  
  116.   o  Vendors (ASP and non-ASP Members) cannot use a Disk-of-the-Month 
  117.      distribution to use up their inventory of old (out of date) disks.  
  118.      Only current versions of the Records of the Realm package may be 
  119.      shipped as Disk-of-the-Month disks.
  120.  
  121.   o  A printed copy of the online documentation may not be reproduced 
  122.      in whole or in part, using any means, without the written permission 
  123.      of the author.  
  124.  
  125.   o  The Records of the Realm package cannot be rented or leased to others.
  126.  
  127.   o  No vendor may list Records of the Realm in advertisements, catalogs, 
  128.      or other literature which describes Records of the Realm as "FREE 
  129.      SOFTWARE".  
  130.  
  131.   o  The author expressly prohibits the distribution of outdated versions 
  132.      of the Records of the Realm package without written permission.  If 
  133.      the version you have is over twelve (12) months old, please contact 
  134.      the author to ensure that you have the most current version.  
  135.  
  136.   o  Vendors shall not use, copy, rent, lease, sell, modify, decompile,
  137.      disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, or transfer the licensed 
  138.      program except as provided in this agreement.  Any such unauthorized 
  139.      use shall result in immediate and automatic termination of this 
  140.      license.

  142. All rights not expressly granted here are reserved to the author.
